Ringing Bells is an Indian company to launch a smartphone at Rs. 500 on 17th Feb. Defence minister Manohar Parrikar will launch the smartphone "Freedom 251" today (17th Feb). The launch is in line with P.M. Narendra Modi's vision for "Empowering India to the last person, transforming India's growth story", the Noida based company said.
Last year Anil Ambani owned Reliance Communication (RCOM) and DataWind were teaming up to launch the world's most affordable smartphone, costing Rs. 999.
Ringing Bells recently launched the Smart 101 smartphone ar Rs. 2999, with 5" inch screen, 4G, 1GB RAM, 8GB Memory and running with Lollipop.
